Pumpkin Patch Holiday Mini Sessions ST Pete

Last week, I hosted my very first Pumpkin Patch Fall Mini Session Event — and it was everything I hoped for and more. 🍁

I’ve been photographing families for years, but this was my first time creating something truly fall-themed. No beach waves, no golden sunset over the water — just hay bales, pumpkins, and cozy autumn colors.

Every workshop I’ve ever taken about mini sessions says the same thing: you have to have the images to sell the slots. But sometimes, you just have to trust yourself — and the people who already believe in you. I didn’t have any past pumpkin patch photos to show, but I knew my clients trusted me to deliver something special.

Mini session clients are often amazed by how much we can capture in such a short amount of time. One mom told me, “I thought we’d maybe get one image for our fall card — but there were so many to choose from!” Hearing that made me smile. I always want my clients to feel that sense of surprise and joy when they see their photos.

Mini sessions move fast — 15 to 20 minutes with babies, toddlers, and sometimes a dog or two. You’re chasing light, laughter, and moments all at once. It’s a mix of chaos and creativity, but when it all comes together, it’s pure magic.

The pumpkin patch was glowing that afternoon — rows of orange pumpkins, soft golden light, and families full of laughter. Each family brought their own personality to the session, from playful sibling hugs to sweet baby giggles. These are the kind of photos that instantly feel nostalgic — the ones families look back on every fall and say, “Remember this day?”

One of my new clients told me with a little tear in her eye, “I never take time for myself or think about getting photos for our family — we’re always so busy with our shop. I’m so glad we did this. We love the photos.” Moments like that remind me why I do what I do — these sessions aren’t just about pictures; they’re about slowing down long enough to celebrate the people you love most.

Hosting this pumpkin patch mini session gave me a new appreciation for these short, seasonal photo experiences. They’re not just about pretty backdrops — they’re about making time for family, slowing down, and celebrating the season together.

Now that fall minis are wrapped up, I’m already getting ready for the next one — my Holiday Mini Session Event! 🎄✨
