We’re Xina Scuderi and Kyle Fleming, a husband-and-wife proposal photography team specializing in surprise proposals throughout Tampa Bay. Since 2014, we’ve photographed hundreds of proposals throughout St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, Pass-a-Grille, Sand Key, Indian Rocks Beach, and the surrounding Gulf Coast.

Most of our proposals take place on the beach, and after photographing so many, we’ve learned exactly what makes a proposal feel effortless while still capturing every genuine reaction, emotion, and unforgettable moment.

Had the most wonderful experience being photographed by Xina with my family for a Fall photoshoot at Gallaghers. She is so easy to work with, makes everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and is a ton of fun to be around. Highly recommend her for your next event or photoshoot. Just received the most incredible photos from Xina! She captured my beach yoga class so BEAUTIFULLY—the colors of the sky and ocean stood out in such a powerful way and truly elevated our presence. I was blown away by her dedication and artistic approach—she put so much passion and effort into shooting from different angles to capture the energy of our yoga and sound bath class. She even edited out a distracting sign in the background and enhanced the colors so everything looked even more magical. The turnaround time was so fast, and I felt completely supported by her throughout the process. We setup a sunset photo session, we like to have family photos every couple of years, and Xina made this session so special. We booked a session while on vacation and really appreciated how easy she made the process. Xina took our engagement photos in Clearwaters, on the beach, during sunset, and it went so well ! We were first timers and never had gotten our pictures done professionally, and she was very patient with us . Xina did an excellent job photographing our baby girl for her 1/2 birthday! We had family portraits taken with her at The Vinoy in the tea garden which was a perfect location! Xina was very professional and knew exactly where we should pose to get the best results. She even sang silly songs to our baby to get her to look at her and it worked!

We were so impressed with the quality of the photos we received. They came out better than we expected and will be treasured forever! We are going to have to get some of them printed to hang up in our home. They are worth every penny! We can’t recommend Xina enough for any of your professional photography needs.

Keeping the proposal a surprise is one of the most important parts of what we do.

We know you’re trying to keep this secret, so we communicate carefully and help you create believable cover stories when needed.

We photograph proposals using professional telephoto lenses, allowing us to stay far enough away that your partner is much less likely to notice us before the big moment.

To everyone else, we simply look like another couple enjoying the beach (just with a wagon full of camera gear!).

Because we can photograph from a distance, your reactions stay real—the surprise, the tears, the laughter, and the excitement are captured exactly as they happen.

We also specialize in balancing beautiful Florida sunsets with properly exposed portraits, so your photos include both the emotion of the proposal and the incredible colors of the Gulf Coast sky.

A photographer standing close may not have the equipment or experience needed to photograph a true surprise. We use telephoto zoom lenses, allowing us to stay far enough away that your partner is much less likely to notice us before the big moment.

But great proposal photography is about more than just hiding with a camera. After photographing 250+ surprise proposals, we understand lighting, locations, timing, privacy, seasonality, and the little details that make a big difference.

We also provide tips and tricks to help you feel prepared and get the best possible photos during your proposal with us. Once booked, we help with location suggestions and can coordinate with hotels, restaurants, family members, or other vendors when needed to create a seamless experience. We are basically like event coordinators for your proposal.
